Understanding the Condition
Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) is one of the most common human viruses. Most people are infected at some point in their lives, and many have no symptoms or only mild ones.
In some cases EBV causes infectious mononucleosis (“mono”), and researchers continue to study the virus and investigational ways to respond to it. There is currently no widely available vaccine for EBV.
By taking part in an Epstein-Barr Virus Research Study in Texas, participants help researchers learn more about investigational vaccine approaches.
